Apple Pie French Toast Casserole

Who's sweet on breakfast? Filled with apples and topped with cinnamon sugar, this dish could almost be served as dessert! It's sure to be a crowd pleaser, even on an early morning.

  • ½ loaf low-protein bread
  • 4 tsp egg replacer
  • 2 cups dairy-free liquid creamer
  • 2 tsp and 1/2 tsp cinnamon, divided
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 3 whole apples


  • 1Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • 2Grease a square cake pan, and set aside.
  • 3Cut low-protein bread into 1-inch cubes, and place cubes in a large bowl.
  • 4Mix the egg replacer, dairy-free creamer, and ½ tsp cinnamon together, and pour over the bread cubes. Toss to coat well.
  • 5In a small bowl, mix the remaining 2 tsp of cinnamon with the sugar.
  • 6Peel and core apples, and chop into chunks. Add half of the apples to the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar. Cover the layer of apples with half of the soaked bread cubes. Repeat to make 4 layers total.
  • 7Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Serve hot with maple syrup.
